Coach Terms

Draft 10/17/2026. Effective when the marketplace launches.

Effective when the marketplace launches. The SweatCall coach marketplace is not live yet. These Coach Terms take effect for a coach on the day the marketplace opens and the coach accepts them in the coach application. Until then they are a preview.

These Coach Terms are an agreement between you ("Coach") and Common Ridge ("Common Ridge", "we", "us"), the maker of SweatCall. They apply in addition to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy when you apply to coach, or coach, people ("Lifters") through SweatCall.

1. Independent contractor

You are an independent contractor. You are not an employee, partner or agent of Common Ridge. You decide how, when and for whom you work, and you are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, equipment and licenses. Common Ridge provides the platform: the set log, the in-ear channel, notes, plan tools and payment processing.

2. Qualifications and application

You confirm that your application is accurate, that you hold any certification or license you claim, and that you are legally able to provide coaching where your Lifters live. We may verify your application, approve or decline it, and remove coaches who do not meet our standards. Approval is not an endorsement of your advice.

3. Scope of coaching

You coach fitness: strength, conditioning, mobility and similar. You do not diagnose, treat or advise on medical conditions. Advise Lifters to consult a medical professional when something is outside fitness coaching. The health disclaimer in the Terms applies to everything you send.

4. Conduct

5. Recording consent

Voice messages and live in-ear sessions may be recorded or transcribed only where the Lifter has agreed in the app, and only where the law in both your locations allows. You must not record Lifters outside the platform without their consent. Recordings and transcripts follow the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.

6. Fees, payments and payouts

7. Refunds and cancellations

Lifters can cancel an engagement as shown in the app. You will cooperate on fair refunds when you do not deliver what was promised. We may decide refund disputes between you and a Lifter in good faith.

8. Content and license

You keep ownership of the plans, notes and messages you write. You give Common Ridge a limited license to host, display and transmit them to your Lifters and to operate and secure the platform. You promise that your content does not infringe anyone's rights.

9. Insurance and liability

You are solely responsible for the coaching you provide and should carry professional liability insurance appropriate to your work. You agree to indemnify Common Ridge against claims from Lifters or third parties arising from your coaching, your content or your breach of these terms. Common Ridge is not liable for your advice or for any Lifter's injury, and the limits in the Terms of Service apply.

10. Ending

You may stop coaching at any time after finishing or handing over active engagements. We may suspend or remove you for breach, complaints, safety concerns or legal reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive (payments owed, confidentiality, liability) survive.

11. Changes

We may update these Coach Terms. We will give notice in the coach app before material changes apply.

12. Governing law

These Coach Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
