Privacy Policy

Effective 10/19/2026

This Privacy Policy explains what Common Ridge ("Common Ridge", "we", "us"), the maker of SweatCall, collects when you use SweatCall, why, and the choices you have. In short: your voice stays on your phone, we keep only what we need to sync your workouts and write your weekly review, and we do not track you.

The short version
  • Audio is processed on your device and never stored.
  • Transcripts are kept on your device according to your retention setting.
  • If you turn on voice matching, the voice print stays on your device only.
  • Set logs (weight, reps, exercise, time) go to our servers for sync and your weekly review.
  • The weekly review uses the Claude API with no audio and no personal information beyond your first name.
  • We delete your data within 24 hours of a deletion request.
  • If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address until launch, only to tell you when the app is available.
  • No tracking, no ads, no selling data.

1. What we collect

2. Audio and transcripts

SweatCall uses the microphone only while a workout is active. Speech is recognized on your device. Audio is processed on the device and is never stored, and never leaves your phone. The text transcript of what you said is kept on your device for as long as your retention setting says (you choose in Settings, Privacy). Only the parsed set logs sync to our servers.

Voice matching (optional). If you choose to teach SweatCall your voice (Me, Listening), it records three short lines, turns them into a voice print (a list of numbers, called an embedding, computed on your device from those phrases), and uses it to ignore other people talking nearby. The voice print is stored on your device only. It is never uploaded and never synced to our servers or any other device, and it is excluded from device backups. The recordings themselves are not kept. You can delete the voice print at any time from Me, Listening, Teach SweatCall your voice, Forget my voice, and it is also deleted when you delete the app and its data.

3. What goes to our servers

Set logs are sent to SweatCall servers so your data syncs between devices and so we can write your weekly review. They are stored with your account on a managed database hosted on Railway.

Waitlist. The early-access form on sweatcall.com sends your email address to our servers (api.sweatcall.com), where it is stored with the date you signed up. We use it only to email you when SweatCall is available or about the launch, and we do not share it with anyone but the providers in section 7. To be removed, use the contact form at sweatcall.com/contact and give the address you signed up with, and we delete it within 24 hours.

Contact form. The form at sweatcall.com/contact sends your email address, your message and, if you give one, your name to our servers (api.sweatcall.com). We use them only to answer you and do not share them with anyone but the providers in section 7.

4. The weekly review and Claude

For the weekly review we send your recent set logs to Anthropic's Claude API. No audio and no personal information beyond your first name is sent. Anthropic processes it to produce the review and, under our agreement, does not use it to train its models. If you turn server review off, a simpler review runs on your device and nothing is sent.

When you use Ask SweatCall, the question you type is sent to Claude together with a summary of your last four weeks of training and your active program (exercise names and numbers, not audio), so it can answer. Do not type anything into a question that you do not want processed this way.

5. Payments

The app itself is free and sells nothing through the App Store. When the coach marketplace launches, payments to coaches are handled by Stripe, which collects the payment and payout details it needs; we receive limited information such as payment status.

6. How we use data

To run SweatCall (log, sync, cue, review), to process coaching payments, to keep the service secure and fix crashes, to answer support requests, and to meet legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell or share it for others' marketing.

7. Who we share with

8. Tracking

SweatCall does not track you across other companies' apps or sites, uses no advertising identifiers and has no third-party advertising SDKs.

9. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export your data and delete your account in the app (Settings, Privacy). We delete your account data from our servers within 24 hours of a deletion request, apart from limited records we must keep for legal or fraud-prevention reasons and encrypted backups that expire on their normal cycle. You can also use the contact form at sweatcall.com/contact. Transcripts and anything stored only on your phone are removed when you delete the app.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act) you may have the right to access, correct, export, delete, restrict or object to our use of your data, and to complain to your regulator. Use the contact form at sweatcall.com/contact and we will respond within the time the law requires. We do not discriminate against you for using these rights.

11. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

12. Children

SweatCall is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

13. International transfers

Our servers are in the United States. If you use SweatCall elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed there, with the safeguards the law requires.

14. Changes

If we change this policy in a material way we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The effective date above shows the latest version.
